I'm a tourist visiting Madrid, how do I rent a car?
It's very easy: book online by specifying where you want the car (for example, your flight terminal or your hotel) and when. We'll deliver it right there, with full insurance included, a full tank of fuel, and 300 km per day. When you're finished, we'll pick it up wherever is most convenient for you.
Will you deliver the car to me at the Barajas airport terminal?
Yes. We'll be waiting for you at the arrivals terminal (T1, T2, T3 or T4) with your car ready, no queues or counters. Just pick up the keys and go.
Can I leave Madrid and travel around Spain or Portugal?
Of course! The car is yours for the entire rental period: you can travel all over Spain and even cross into Portugal, with no border restrictions. We include 300 km per day, perfect for getaways to Toledo, the coast, the north, or Lisbon. If you're planning a longer route, let us know and we'll help you choose the car and rate that best suits your needs.
Can I rent with a foreign or international driving license?
Yes. For EU/EEA licenses, your national driving license is sufficient. For non-EU licenses, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required along with the original. Please contact us for details regarding your country and we will confirm the requirements.
In what languages do you serve me?
We're available in Spanish and English. You can contact us via WhatsApp or email before and during your rental, and we'll help you with the entire process.
Can I pay with a foreign card?
Yes, we accept all major international credit cards in the cardholder's name. If you have any questions about payment, our team will assist you before delivery.

Prices, payments and fuel

How much does it cost to rent a car in Madrid?
The cost of renting a cheap car in Madrid with CarMove starts from €65 per day *Depending on the season. The price increases according to the model and features of the vehicle you choose.
Are there any additional costs or hidden surcharges?
No! Our rates are clear and transparent. There are no additional costs or surcharges. The price we quote in the contract is the price you pay, no more, no less.
Do I need to leave a deposit or bond?
This is one of the biggest advantages of our service. With our agency, you don't need to pay any deposit or security deposit if you meet the rental requirements. We only require a €180 deposit for your first rental with us. For subsequent rentals, if you adhere to Carmove's risk policy, we won't ask for it again.
When and how do I pay for my reservation?
If you use our website, you can pay online. But if you prefer, you also have the option of paying our agents when you pick up the car. Enjoy the benefits of booking and paying directly through the website.
How many kilometers are included?
Yes. Your rental includes 300 km per day. If you plan to drive more kilometers, just ask us and we'll increase the mileage without any surprises.
What is the fuel policy?
Our fuel policy is Full/Full: we deliver the rental car with a full tank, and you will be responsible for refueling it upon return. If for any reason you are unable to refuel before returning the vehicle, you will be charged for the fuel plus an additional €10 administration fee.

Booking and duration

How do I make my reservation?
Easy and fast: simply select your car rental dates and your delivery location. We'll contact you to confirm your booking. Then, just wait for our professional team to deliver your car to your chosen spot. You won't regret it!
Can I book a car for today?
Yes! Our professionals only require one hour's notice (minimum time) to deliver your rental car wherever you need it. You ask for it, you get it. Enjoy exploring Madrid and its surroundings with our rental cars.
How long can I rent the car for?
Reservations can be for a couple of hours or for a month (maximum rental period). If your stay exceeds one month, please consult our agents about more advantageous options. Our goal is to offer you an efficient service tailored to your needs.
How are rental days counted?
Rental days are calculated in 24-hour increments. However, as a courtesy from our agency, you have an additional 2 hours to return your car if needed. Please notify us in advance so we can offer you a suitable solution due to the high demand we may experience.
Can I extend my reservation or return it later?
If you wish to extend your reservation or delivery time, simply notify us of the change at least 2 hours in advance. Please note that the more advance notice you give, the more likely the car will be available.
Can I cancel or modify my reservation?
Yes. You can manage changes or cancellations according to the terms of your fare. Let us know as far in advance as possible and we'll help you adjust it.

Documentation and drivers

Who can drive the car?
If you are over 23 years old and have held a driver's license for two years, go ahead! Rent a car with us and enjoy your own private tour during your trip.
What documents do I need to rent?
To hire our car rental service, it is necessary to present an identity document and a driving license, with a minimum validity of 6 months and the latter being 2 years old.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes, you can add one or more additional drivers when making the booking or at the time of drop-off. They just need to meet the same age and license requirements.
Can I rent with a foreign or non-EU driver's license?
Absolutely! With CarMove, you can rent cars with non-EU driver's licenses, subject to certain special conditions. Contact our team for more information about this service.
Can I choose the model and the exchange rate?
Of course! The rental car model is entirely up to you. Only in exceptional circumstances, due to lack of availability, will we offer a similar option. The transmission type is also according to your preference. Our rental car fleet includes both manual and automatic vehicles.

Where can I see the pickup location?

Just like when you picked up your rental car, you can return it wherever you like, at no extra cost. Is there a cost for home delivery and collection?
No. Car drop-off and pick-up at your chosen location within our coverage area is free, with no extra charges. That's our main advantage: you choose where and when.
